Product Details

The Level of Service Inventory–Revised™ (LSI-R™) is a quantitative survey of justice-involved individual attributes and their situations relevant to level of supervision and treatment decisions. Designed for ages 16 and older, the LSI-R helps predict parole outcome, success in correctional halfway houses, institutional misconducts, and recidivism. The 54 items included in this tool are based on legal requirements and include relevant factors needed for making decisions about risk and treatment.

In place of the LSI-R, we advise you to consider purchasing the Level of Service/Case Management Inventory™ (LS/CMI™) , a fully functioning case management tool and assessment that measures the risk and need factors of late adolescent and adult justice-involved individuals. The LS/CMI has refined and combined the 54 LSI-R items into 43 items in Section 1. Ten additional comprehensive sections have been incorporated to further assist public safety professionals in analyzing justice-involved individual management.

The females were from a medium-security institution for adult women operated by the Ontario Ministry of Correctional Services.

The U.S. normative data for LSI-R consists of 19,481 inmates from seven departments of corrections throughout the U.S. and 4,240 parolees and probationers from seven samples in four U.S. states. The sample includes 17,622 male inmates (M age = 34.51), 1,859 female inmates (M age = 34.26), 3,523 male community justice-involved individuals (M age = 34.58), and 717 female community justice-involved individuals (M age = 34.65)

To administer the LSI-R training is required for those who do not have the requisite b-level educational qualifications. Training is also recommended for those who need in-depth knowledge of the LSI-R and its use and interpretation. By attending our LSI-R User Training, you will learn necessary skills for interviewing an offender, accurately scoring an LSI-R assessment, as well as enhancing the quality of case management, treatment planning, and service delivery.
